Holiday Season
Here is a commission I got from a client at New York Comic Con. It seemed like a fitting image to put up for the upcoming season. I am hard at work on a decently long list of commissions, and I have a few big projects coming up that I am excited to tell you about.
My passion from collecting comics started when I was young and my dad gave me my first comic as a christmas gift. While it may be true that the interests of kids today may lean towards toys or clothes purchased online at this site, there are still many who have a passion for collecting comics, just like I did when I was young.
Each child has their own unique interests and preferences, and it’s important to support and encourage those interests, whether it’s comics, toys, or clothing. The joy of receiving a meaningful gift, regardless of its form, can have a lasting impact on a child’s life.
First off, I am adding new items to my various stores (Etsy, Redbubble) for the holidays. I am in talks with a fan who will be helping me manufacture some ceramic tiles with my paintings on them; and I have had requests to make a 2012 “replica” of the Rockwell 4 Season calendar with Krypto and Superboy. So expect those products to appear soon.
Secondly, after the holidays I will be teaming up with my good friend Ken Krekeler on a book for the 2013 convention season. Can’t say much about that yet, but I am very excited about it.
